About Me

I’VE MOVED TO A NEW SITE. FIND JOY AT http://joypedrow.com/

Hi friends!

My name is Joy and welcome to my blog!

I was born and raised in Monroeville a town outside of Pittsburgh, PA, but I moved to Tampa, FL to go to college at the University of South Florida. I will graduate this December, on 12-13-14 to be exact. Awesome date, right?! I will have a degree in communications focusing on relational communications with a minor in business.

I’m an only child, who has the most loving parents around. As a three person family, we have a lot of fun together! If it is summer, we’ll be out in the pool. We also love to travel and visit our family in Ohio and South Carolina. Below is a collage of some of my family.

My Passion

Since high school, I’ve had a passion for ministry. Specifically, I feel called to help women understand the love of God and help them grow in their spiritual journeys. In college, Jesus softened my heart so I could surrender my life to him (Click here to read the story.) Jesus has changed my life, and I want other women to experience the love of our Savior. In college my passion deepened as Jesus connected me with Cru, a college ministry, and my church. I went on a 10 week mission trip to Miami the summer of 2013 with Cru. In Miami, Jesus showed me how powerful our stories are. I feel called to use my story to help other women find hope and love in Jesus and experience healing. Below is a collage of some of the wonderful women who have helped me in my walk with God.

 My Blog

In September 2013, I started this blog for my honors senior thesis project. My goal was to market and brand myself as a Christian writer and speaker, because that was my ideal career. Creating and using this blog was part of that process. The project has become more than an assignment. I believe that God is preparing me for a future in women’s ministry. For years, I looked up to women like Beth Moore and Lysa Terkeurst. Their ministries inspire me because of the impact that they have had to me and other women. I hope that one day my blog and ministry will be able to bring life change to women as well.

  1. Prayer For the Second Coming of Jesus –

I pray that Jesus Christ returns to Earth soon, to bring the eternal love and peace of the Kingdom of God to all who believe in Him, and for every knee to bow to Him, and for every tongue to confess that Jesus is Lord at His return. Amen.
Dear fellow Christians, please pray for this prayer request above, and please share it with everyone, everywhere! Until it comes true, and Jesus returns to save His people – which hopefully, by then, will include all of us!
    Thank You!
    God bless you!
